Schneider Electric has appointed Yoon Young Kim as its new cluster president of Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei.

In a statement, the France-headquartered energy and automation digital solutions provider said Kim previously served as the cluster president for Vietnam and Cambodia for four years.

It added that in his new role, Kim will be working to drive the expansion and manufacturing capabilities of the Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei cluster.

Schneider said Kim will focus on high-growth potential areas such as microgrids, while also helping clients within the cluster operate more sustainably.

Prior to his tenure at Schneider Electric, Kim has also held other leadership positions at a multinational conglomerate company.

Having worked in North America, South Korea, Brazil, and Vietnam, he brings his extensive professional experience, as well as a deep understanding of cultural differences to his new role.

Meanwhile, the previous cluster president, Damien Dhellemmes, will now be taking up a new role as senior vice president for digital energy — commercial at Schneider Electric.
